The event was well attended and enjoyable, Montasser is very sociable and has a relaxed informal style and always helpful and informative. Despite being a more advanced enthusiast I always come away having learned something new and tried new ideas. Street photography is quite a new genre for me, people watching is fun, looking for and capturing impromptu moments and scenes ....

I met ?Miss Whiskey Twist? during a group shoot organised at a local photography studio. I hadn?t had my camera for long, so as a novice photographer I found it quite daunting working with a professional model. However I think she could see my obvious nervousness and helped me relax by making the shoot fun. As soon as I started to relax we both got into our groove and the shots seemed to flow. This was one of them taken that day.

Once a month, or so, I would go into my home town of Leicester early on a Sunday morning to take some photos before there were too many people around. This particular morning there was light rain and the sun was trying to break through. The scene was great but the sky was uninspiring so a better sky was added and then processed in DXO's NIK Silver Efex. The camera was my trusty Ricoh GRIII which has a great lens and small enough to put in your pocket.
